"... Visitors to Mauritius come first as tourists and stay in a beach hotel. When they return, they rent a furnished apartment, and on their third visit they stay with a Mauritian family." (Royston Ellis, poet and author.) |

Our house was built by Eurpoeans about twenty years
ago, to high specifications and our apartments are spacious and
spotlessly clean. We offer a quality service, in a family setting,
at sensible prices.
About Us: We are a professional couple who lived in England for over 30 years until we moved to Mauritius a few years ago. One of us is Mauritian (him) and the other is English (her). We enjoy our life here and will help you with whatever you require in order for you to enjoy it too. About Trou aux Biches: Internet searches for practical info about Trou aux Biches will probably not yield much information! However, we can re-assure you that it easy to go shopping for fresh food etc. here and the area is very well developed, yet not over-developed with regard to tourism. Trou aux Biches is considered one of the best beaches in Mauritius and we are only a short drive away from 'the' best beach of Perrybere. The thriving town of Triolet is within walking distance too. It is about 30 mins. north of Port Louis and about 15 mins. south of Grand Bay. About Visiting Luxury Hotels: You need not even miss out on the attractions of the five star hotels. Usually, they charge an entrance fee of a few hundred rupees (£6 to £10 approx.) and in return they hand you a voucher. This can be redeemed against any meals or drinks you purchase, but note that they don't give change, so don't waste it on a little thing like a Mars bar! You can stay all day with them and even join in their Sega shows or whatever entertainment they provide. About Accessing Information: There are unusual and interesting things for you to look forward to here, but you should not forget that it is a developing country and you will need help in making the best of your stay here. Though the people are very friendly and helpful, there is a great lack of information dissemination. The internet does not quite stretch to Mauritius yet despite their claims! Future Development of this Site: Over the coming weeks we will be adding links to useful information and popular attractions, so please be patient with us whilst we organise ourselves. |
