Trou aux Biches has one of the best beaches on the island and is an ideal location for speed boat trips, fishing trips sunbathing and swimming, deep water diving and scuba diving. Actually, there are 30 to 40 dive sites just off Trou aux Biches itself. All of the diving centres mentioned on this website are associated with Mauritius Underwater Group (M.U.G.) and are well-respected.

In the north of the island there is more of a cosmopolitan feel about the place which is a gentle introduction to the Mauritiuan way of life! You might think you don't need this but, please, think again! Take a look at the bus timetable at the top of the page.
